Intensely perfumed with mouth filling flavours, the 2017 Eleanor offers a rich, velvety texture and sophisticated level of complexity. The purity of the fruit gives this vintage polish and the wine has a wealth of structure to evolve further in bottle. Vivid notes of black currants, star anise, cedar and vanilla-tinged oak are followed by succulent palate impressions of candied cherries and cassis. Hints of violets and stone minerals emerge on the long, lush finish.

Francis Ford Coppola has a long family history with wine making. He was first exposed to the wine making process while growing up in New York. During this time, his grandfather and uncles would make wine in the basement of their apartment using the grapes that they had shipped in from California.

In 1962, Francis met his wife Eleanor on the set of his first feature film. The two later moved to San Francisco and subsequently became the owners of a substantial and beautiful wine estate.

The vision behind their vineyard, is love of life with family and friends through food and wine.
