The Argiano 2019 Rosso di Montalcino shows the slightly darker color and richer concentration that is characteristic of wines from this vintage. The pretty Rosso offers good depth and width, qualities obviously rendered to the palate, with rich blackberry and dark cherry flavors. On the intensity continuum that sees Rosso on one side and Brunello on the other, this wine actually clocks in closer to the Brunello side of the spectrum. That makes this an especially interesting wine for those looking for Sangiovese power at an attractive value price tag. The wine ages in French oak casks for a few quick months. Production is 51,000 bottles.

Argiano - Rosso di Montalcino

Argiano's Rosso di Montalcino is a delightful red wine that is perfect for any occasion. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, this wine has a bright ruby red color and a complex aroma of red fruits, spices, and a hint of vanilla.

The taste profile of this wine is well-balanced, with a medium body and a smooth finish. The tannins are soft and elegant, making it easy to drink and enjoy. The wine has a good acidity level, which makes it a perfect match for a wide range of dishes, including pasta, pizza, and grilled meats.

Argiano is a historic winery located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The winery has been producing high-quality wines for over 400 years, and their Rosso di Montalcino is no exception. The grapes are carefully selected and hand-harvested, ensuring that only the best fruit is used to make this wine.

This wine is best enjoyed in good company, whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion with loved ones. It pairs well with a variety of foods, but it's also delicious on its own. Serve it slightly chilled to enhance its fruity notes and enjoy the taste of Tuscany in every sip.

Argiano is certainly one of the most beautiful Tuscan houses. The wines have never been so great, as demonstrated by the notes which fall each year. The grapes come from the most beautiful plots of Montalcino, benefiting from a particularly favorable microclimate at about 300 meters above sea level where one part is composed of an abundant structure of clay, sand and limestone, the other is composed of deep clays.

The identification of the terroir of each parcel has enabled the oenologists to plant each grape variety on the land and the climate that best suits it. The result is the creation of several cuvées with a strong identity in an inimitable style. It is today that all the greatest critics unanimously agree that the Argiano estate produces unique wines, of high quality and above all for long aging. The key words to describe their cuvées are elegance, expression of the terroir, finesse and length in the mouth!

Italy's most ancient wine region, Tuscany may not be a heavyweight in terms of quantity, but as the home of two of the country's most famous fine wines – Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino – it certainly holds its own in terms of quality. Tuscany's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental deep in the Apennines. More than two thirds of the province is covered with hills, an important terroir factor in its fine wines.
