Very pale onion skin colour- a classic Provencal rosé. Primarily a blend of Grenache, Rolle and Cinsault, the nose is chock full of strawberry, redcurrant, with plenty of freshness on the palate.

Château d'Esclans is a renowned winery located in the heart of Provence, France. The estate has a rich history dating back to the 19th century when it was founded by the Gautier family. Today, the winery is owned by Sacha Lichine, who has continued the tradition of producing exceptional wines.

One of the most popular wines produced by Château d'Esclans is Whispering Angel Rosé. This wine is made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Rolle grapes, which are carefully selected from the estate's vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand and then sorted to ensure only the best quality fruit is used.

The production process for Whispering Angel Rosé is meticulous and involves a combination of traditional and modern techniques. The grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice, which is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to preserve the delicate aromas and flavours. The wine is then aged on its lees for several months to add complexity and depth.

The resulting wine is a pale pink colour with delicate aromas of red berries, citrus, and floral notes. On the palate, Whispering Angel Rosé is crisp and refreshing with flavours of strawberries, raspberries, and a hint of minerality. The wine has a balanced acidity and a long, elegant finish.

Château d'Esclans is known for producing some of the finest rosé wines in the world, and Whispering Angel is no exception. This wine has received numerous accolades and is a favourite among wine enthusiasts and critics alike.

If you're looking for a delicious and sophisticated rosé, look no further than Whispering Angel from Château d'Esclans. With its delicate aromas, crisp flavours, and balanced acidity, this wine is sure to please even the most discerning palates.

Château d’Escalns lies in the centre of the Department of the Var, where the majority of Provence rosé is produced. The first traces of the château’s site date back to Gaullist times during which the location served as a lookout point to spot intruders coming by boat into the Gulf of Frejus. The property was bought by Sacha Lichine, son of famous Alexis Lichine who owned Château Prieuré Lichine in Margaux, in 2006 with the intention of making the world’s best rosé. Combined with the efforts of Patrick Leon, who was previously Managing Director of Mouton Rothschild, his wines have gone on to receive international acclaim.

Sacha felt that rosé had an opportunity to become more serious in addition to being served and consumed by a broader audience. Since then he has built a world class brand while providing a strong contribution to the unprecedented growth of the rosé category.

With 44 hectares under vine Esclans, is known for its old Grenache vines, some of which are as old as 90 years in the highest vineyards. In 2006, Château d’Esclans made a few barrels of rosé from an 80 year old vineyard and the flagship wine Garrus was born.
