The 2013 Bourgogne le Chapitre, which is actually in Chenove, has a light strawberry, slightly earthy bouquet. The palate is actually supple and smooth in the mouth, very approachable even at this stage with a surprisingly sensual finish. Fine.
The 2012 Bourgogne Le Chapitre offers dark berry and tertiary notes on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly raw entry. There is some hardness here and it cannot escape its short-tempered, abrupt finish.
The Bougogne le Chapitre has a simple, clean red cherry and citrus-scented bouquet. The palate is nicely balanced, soft but with good weight in the mouth, light and precise for a Bourgogne Rouge on the finish. Its tasty cherry fruit is very appealing.
